Today is September 13, 2022. Happy Monday everybody! Yesterday’s full episode explored all of the individuals in the Vallow Daybell case. I would recommend that anyone first showing interest in this case, could listen to that episode first.

Yesterday’s true crime trivia question was “What is the name of the Toy Box Killer?” The answer is David Parker Ray. He is believed to have killed over 60 people, but because the bodies were never found, he could not be convicted of murder. Instead, he was convicted of sexual assault and kidnapping.

Parker would abduct and hold victims for multiple days at a time, keeping them captive in a semi-trailer that he called his “toy box”. One of his accomplices, Cynthia “Cindy” Vijil lived for a brief time in my county here in Montana. Three of his victims testified against him.

The Trial Begins for George Wagner IV

George Wagner is being tried for the murder of 8 individuals from Piketon, Ohio. It is known as the Piketon or Pike County Massacre. George Wagner is accused of the murder of Hannah Rhoden and seven of her family members on April 21-22, 2016. George is accused along with his mother Angela, his father George the III, and his brother Jake. Jake was the father of Hannah’s daughter and it is believed that a custody dispute led to Jake and his family to committing the murders.

George Wagner IV has pled not guilty. The Wagners were charged in November of 2018. Jake Wagner confessed to the murders in exchange for the death penalty to be taken off the table for him and his family members. His mother Angela also plead guilty and took a plea deal. Geroge Wagner is pleading not guilty. Some of the trial is being televised, it depends on the consent of the witnesses.

The Victims of the Pike County Massacre are:

  • Christopher Rhoden Sr. (40)
  • Dana Lynn Rhoden (40)
  • Kenneth Rhoden (44)
  • Gary Rhoden (38)
  • Clarence “Frankie” Rhoden (20)
  • Hannah Rhoden (19)
  • Christopher Rhoden Jr. (16)
  • Hannah Hazel Gilley (20)

Hannah Rhoden, both of her parents, and both of her siblings were murdered. Gary was Hannah’s uncle, Kenneth was her father’s cousin and Hannah “Hazel” Gilley was Frankie’s girlfriend. There were three children in the home that were left unharmed, including Hannah Rhoden’s new baby.

Vallow Daybell Updates for This Week

Don’t forget the release of the new documentary “SIns of OUr Mother” on Netflix tomorrow. Also, the hearing regarding the hearing about the cameras in the courtroom is on Thursday. The judge did approve for it to be live streamed. Back in 2020, the prosecutors had requested that cameras be prohibited in 2020, and that request was denied.

Tupac Shakur Dies of His Wounds

Tupac Shakur died of his wounds on September 13th, 1994. A few years later another rapper, Big E, was also shot and murdered. The case remains unsolved. Police have suspected it was possibly a gang-related shooting or a rival rapper. Big E’s murder also remains unsolved.

Colin Powell, the American Secretary of State Names Osama Ben Ladin as Being Responsible for 9/11

On September 13th, 2002, Colin Powell announced that Osama Ben Ladin and the Taliban were responsible for the attack on the Twin Towers. I was living in Israel at the time when the attacks occurred on the Twin Towers.
