Hot Crime Cold Coffee

What is the “Hot Crime, Cold Coffee” Podcast?

Hot Crime, Cold Coffee is where our passion for true crime and great coffee comes together like a fabulous friendship. We are just two friends who like to talk and share the same passions. For years we have discussed true crime during our weekly coffee dates. Both of us have close, personal ties to some tragic cases that one day we might even share. And finally, we’ve decided to share our ideas and coffee inspiration with you in the form of a blog and podcast.

Our regular podcast episodes will post every Wednesday and Friday, starting September 7th, 2022. Each episode will feature a coffee feature, a missing person spotlight, an interesting crime feature, and our current featured case. Starting September 7th, we’ll also have a short daily episode with crime updates, fun facts, and even trivia.

Hot Crime Cold Coffee with Angie and Pauline

Who are we?

Angie Tolley

Hello. I’m Angie, a coffee connoisseur and true crime lover. I live at the base of a mountain in a small town in Montana with my husband, kids, foster kids and usually some extras that wander in; along with a handful of dogs, chickens and occasionally some pigs. Between taking care of our household, volunteering at the school, helping run the family business and drinking copious amounts of coffee I am pouring through true crime.

I used to just have a healthy interest in true crime, until I read a book my BIL gave me. A quarter of the way in I realized I not only knew the exact area and places they were talking about, but was actually working with one of the witnesses and neighbors. Needless to say, after that; I was hooked. Luckily, I have an amazing husband and kids. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Pauline Reynolds-Nuttall

Hey there. I am Pauline and I love true crime. My true passion is the great outdoors, and I’m the creator at mamabearoutdoors.com, writer of three camping cookbooks, and the host of the “All About Everest Podcast”. But, I secretly am addicted to true crime (and coffee too). I currently live on a mountain in Montana with my husband, my three kids, two dogs, and some chickens.

What finally convinced me to podcast about true crime, is the Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell case.

One of our annual family adventures is to explore Rexburg and the St. Anthony Sand Dunes every year. This is the area in which the murder of Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow occurred. As a mom and someone who was raised in a Mormon “fringe” group, I got drawn into this case. In fact, we were on our annual trip when the bodies of Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow were discovered. This case lit a fire under our butts to start our blog and podcast.

We look forward to having you around. Please subscribe, save, rate, and follow wherever you can find us.
